The new game I designed/wrote/produced for Boomzap just came out! 🙂
After we finished Awakening: The Dreamless Castle, the boss tasked me to come up a new franchise for Boomzap. The core idea this time: a romance in 19th century Europe, with ghosts.
God bless him with trusting me with my fiction choices, but eventually we came up with the Dana Knightstone Novels — the player follows writer Dana Knightstone as she travels across Europe, looking for inspiration for her stories. In the first “novel”, Death at Fairing Point, Dana is haunted by the ghost of a painter who mysteriously died in 19th century Scotland, over a love triangle gone awry.
I was blessed with a great team who also happened to be the happiest, sweetest people on the planet. We had fun making up locations in Europe, writing fictional love letters, and breathing life into our murdered/murderous ghosts. We were also lucky enough to become a Collector’s Edition — the company’s first!
The game came out on Big Fish Games a few hours ago and so far reactions have mostly been positive. I’m very proud of the team and the adventure we created. I hope our users enjoy it, too.
Here it is: Death at Fairing Point: A Dana Knightstone Novel, lovingly made by Boomzap for Big Fish Games. Happy New Year, everyone!
